Vedic chanting group session for Yule

  • Cobo Community Centre Le Guet GY5 7PN (map)

Join Emma to experience the benefits of Vedic chanting with other like minded souls in a warm and cosy environment - encouraging more inner light so we may embrace the power of the sun returning again.

Yule, the winter solstice, is the shortest three days of the year when the sun reaches a standstill before beginning to swing farther north again, allowing more light…

It’s a potent point in the cycle, reminding us of trust…we trust that the sun will rise in the east each day and set in the west. Just as we trust that each out breath will be followed by an in breath, at least until the day we move on to the next realm.

Vedic chanting has innumerable benefits including improved breathing capacity, supporting mental and memory discipline, increasing focus, listening and communication skills and reducing mental and emotional agitation.

Furthermore, the vibratory effect of chanting the various ancient Vedic texts really does have a positive effect on our energy body and this is the reason vedic chanting is used in yoga therapy - the very act of chanting Sanskrit positively changes things.

For example, we will chant mantras to help remove illness, for ongoing health and vitality, to overcome and to encourage peace. Most of you have probably already chanted with Emma using the Bija Mantra and/or “Om”.

There is no doubt that this combination of benefits makes Vedic chanting a powerful option for those who wish to move take their yoga practice beyond the asana.

All are welcome, including beginners.
